Rent a RadRobots™ kit for your organization!

Our engaging kits teach robotics, programming, and coding concepts to students. Each kit features fun-themed STEM activities that are designed to engage both boys and girls, ages 3-12. A new challenge or game is presented during each lesson and students spend 30-60 minutes engaged in creating hands-on solutions.

Tiny Kit (Ages 3-6)

Can a 4 year old understand when to use a loop and program a loop command in an algorithm? You bet they can! Tiny the robot teaches coding and robotics concepts to children as young as 4 years old. Tiny is colorfully animated, can move, has great sound quality, 3 different modes and each lesson focuses on a new function and word of the day. Each lesson is also an opportunity to discuss Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) concepts and Community awareness. Tiny is coded using a bluetooth connected coding wand that is tapped on special coding chips in sequence. With multiple sensors, Tiny gives hands-on experience with functions, coding, and more. Each lesson starts with the teacher reading a Tiny the Robot story adventure that students later recreate to build comprehension and coding skills.

Details:

  • This unit is designed to be more teacher-led since the children are so young
  • All materials included: 1 Robot and 1 Coding Wand with charging wire, 16 Tiny the Robot storybooks, 36 coding chips, 24 interlocking map pieces, 3 game cards, 4 blocks, 8 coding flags, 3 robot masks, curriculum

Roo Kit (Ages 5-10)

Can robots taste colors? Well, Roo the robot can be tangibly programmed by placing special color coding cards in his mouth in sequence. Roo is easy to use for younger students, but even older students will have fun controlling Roo with commands like loops, whitespace and functions! Students will get hands-on experience with gyroscopes, LEDs, sensors, digital sounds and more. Each lesson starts with a story about Roo, a word of the day and a fun challenge or game that is completed to recreate the story.
